- On February 20, 2016 Angela Mentaberry, 94, passed away and went home to her Lord. She was born on June 26, 1921 in Orovada, Nevada at Rock Creek Ranch to Frank and Marcelina Gabica. Angela made Nevada her home while living in Orovada, NV, McDermitt, NV and Winnemucca, NV. She graduated high school and went on to raise her family.
Angela was a firm believer in her Heavenly Father and was a member of St Paul’s Catholic Church.
She loved to garden and cook, as well as filling her home with love with her family by her side.
Angela is survived by her brother; John Gabica and daughters; LaRae Warden, Marilynn “Mernie” Warn (Jack); her grandchildren; John Warden Jr, Mike Warden, Todd Warn, Jaci Miller; her great grandchildren; Mike Warden Jr, Mitch Warden, Wyatt Warn, Josie Warn, Megan and Kenadee Miller, Jake Mega, Catherine Lilly Warden.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents; Frank SR and Marcelina Gabica; her brothers; Phil Gabica, and Frank Gabica; her sister; Vivian Mendietta.
The Mentaberry family would like to thank Angie and Gabby.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or to the Winnemucca Senior Citizen Center or any charity of your choice.
Services will be held at St Paul’s Catholic Church on February 26, 2016 at 11am with interment to follow at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
