  • Notes
    • Jean Mainvil, age 24, left LeHavre, France on November 18, 1905 on LA LORRAINE ship.
Arrived at Ellis Island on November 25, 1905.
Destination was Hotel Lafayette in New York City.

Another passenger, Pierre Heguy, age 26, was also on the ship and on the Ship Manifest it says his friend was Oyharzabal of Capistrano, California and that would be his destination.

According to Josephine Mainvil Arriet: On Labor Day weekkends we'd go to Capistrano to watch handball games and visit both Oyharzabal families. Dad came to the USA in 1905. Quite sure he went to Capistrano first as Oyharzabals are from Hasparren. From Capistrano went to LA and worked at Brooks Whiskey "Vaseinia" bottle opener.
