Edward Manuel Osoro 1928 ~ 2004 Edward Manuel Osoro, 76, passed away April 24, 2004 in Copperton, Utah. Born Feb 16, 1928 in Highland Boy, Utah to Edward M. and Santa Maria Satica Osoro. He has been married for 54 years to JoAnn Marie Massa. They were married in Bingham Canyon, Utah July 9, 1949. Graduate of Bingham High School class of 1946, where he was on the Class B All-State Football Team. Veteran of World War II, served in the Army Occupation Troops in Japan. Retired after 50 years with Kennecott Copper Corporation. Eddie was dedicated to his family, community, and faith, and proud of his Basque heritage. Member IBEW, American Legion Post 30, and Bingham Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. Survived by children, Sharon (Clay) Butterfield, Marie (Steve) Jimas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchil-dren; brother, John (Marge). Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Manuel, Joe, and James; sisters, Mary Kosovich and Christina Vasquez. Many thanks to family, friends, and neighbors for their prayers and support. A special thank you to William F. Reilly, M.D., health care team Linda, Karen, and Valerie for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, Eddie requested donations be made to the "Make-A-Wish Foundation," 2091 East 4800 South #15, SLC, UT 84117, or your favorite charity. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Copperton. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where there will be a Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
