Pilar passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by her family. She was born in Vale, Oregon to the late John and Martha Arrien and was the third child in the family. She was raised on a sheep ranch in eastern Oregon and attended Marylhurst College in Portland. She married William (Bill) Walker in 1959 and moved to San Jose in 1964. They raised 2 children, Lisa and Brad, in the Willow Glen area. She worked in Special Education for over 20 years and loved the children she worked with. Oncce she retired, her life was devoted to her granddaughters. She is survived by her husband William, daughter Lisa, son-in-law Tom, and most loved granddaughters, Kelsey and Mackenzie. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Church followed by a reception at Lisa's home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers's Association at www.alz.org.
