Funeral services wiill be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Cloverdale Funeral Home, Boise, Idaho, with Rev. Robert Irwin officiating. Burial services will follow at Morris Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. George was born Oct. 11, 1928 in Boise, the son of Gregorio and Fermina (Yturri) Anchustegui. He lived in Boise, Bruneau, and Sheep Camp in the Owyhee mountains at various times during his youth. George graduated from Bruneau Rural High School and lalater married Nina Harris on Nov. 21, 1950, at Elko, Nev. George worked as a truck driver for most of his life and retired as a Truck Driving instructor for Boise State University in 2001. Following retirement, George spent the winters in Arizona and the rest of the year alternating between his four children's homes. George was affectionately called "Chi Chi" by his children and grandchildren. Survivors include sons, Gary (Renee) Anchustegui of Boise, Steve (Debra) Anchustegui of Meridian, and daughters, Denise (Dan) Shewmaker of Kimberly, Idaho, and Kathy L. Anchustegui, of Fruitland, Idaho. George is also survived by nine grandchildren, Michelle, Antonio, and Tracy Anchustegui, Brandee Lewis and Mike Shewmaker, Mike, Lauren, and Rachel Anchustegui, and Katie Fox; 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marie Cortabitarte of Boise, and Clarine Villenuve (Gene) of Phoenix, Ariz., and nephews, Jack Cortabitarte (Belinda), John Anchustegui, Jr. (Jane,) Jeff Villenuve, and Greg Villenuve. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; sister, Phyllis Uranga; brother, John Anchustegui, Sr.; and grandson, Seth Fox. George married Nina Harris on 21 Nov 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Nina was born on 01 Feb 1930 in Mountain Home, Idaho; died on 18 May 1992 in Star, Idaho. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
